In the US elections we see the archetypal image of a prisoner of war. His running mate, pictured on the cover of Newsweek last week, carries a gun strapped over her shoulder. Rather than to rise in reaction to these archetypal images by reaching for our own ammunition; we are called to bring to consciousness the gifts of the warrior within and without. As we do, we may finally rest the sword and usher in a new era of unity and peace. We can do it! It requires willingness to “mine” from the depths where our own prisoners of war are hostage. To own those projections that dance on the ballroom floor of the gods at this critical juncture of time. After a week away, I was greeted at my office door today to find my pot of mums exactly half dead and half in bloom. At first I was struck by how odd it seemed, and then I remembered. Another call to balance, another reminder that the falling away of autumn precedes new life. How grateful I am to experience both on this journey of working with the sacred. With Love and Gratitude, Pat
