In the August conference call Alberto spoke about the recent prophecy reading by the Q’ero Elders which took place in Peru this summer. The elders stressed that we are in a point of great change where much of the future is being written. For them, the message told about the importance of being in balance with the earth and our world.
The Liaka call this balance “Ayni” which means to be in right relationship. To live in Ayni is to be in right relationship with the earth, our families, our friends, our work, and each person and thing we interact with; not just with those we love, but to be in right relationship with EVERY part of our lives, including ourselves.
This notion of Ayni, is the fundamental cornerstone of all of Four Winds classes and expeditions. The key is to take the steps now, even little things will make a difference at this time. It is so important that we take the steps to come into right relationship, not only for our selves but for the world.
- The first step is to recognize where we are not in right relationship, with our self or with others. The world mirrors back to us these places, again and again. Shadow work helps us to see the places we don’t want to recognize as our own.
It is also important to recognize the larger patterns that the story or drama continues to be organized around. It is helpful to find how the story lives in your body and then step out of it - to see the larger pattern or projection we are holding for the world.
- The next step is to come into Ayni with the larger pattern by honoring it through ceremony. Ceremony allows us to come into balance at the place of the sacred, at the level of our soul. The equinox is an ideal time to build an earthen altar, have a fire ceremony, build a despacho, or even create a sand painting in your yard. When we step into ceremony we are able to find and acknowledge the gifts and lessons, without having to learn from pain and suffering.
In any aspect of your life, when something is stuck, the key is to go back to the honoring and acknowledging of the gifts you are/or have received, through engaging in ceremony. Working at the soul level enables us to step out of the drama and step into the place of the creator. Engaging the soul through sacred ceremony allows us to step into the deep place of honor, to say “thank you” for everything we have received.
- The last step is to begin to source your journey from what you want instead in your life. Take the opportunity to write a new story. The easiest way to do this is to find it in your body; to experience what this new story feels like on a cellular level. Once you’ve had an opportunity to sit and relish this new place of right relationship fully feels like, then you can experiment with words to wrap around what you are feeling. Remember that words can actually limit your ability to be in Ayni so it is important to always notice what your words are creating for you and be ready to find new and juicier ones.
Part of the last step is to again bring this new journey into action and manifestation at the sacred through ceremony. You can use the same fire as in step two from above, with another offering, or go back and shift the altar or sand painting to actualize the shift that you have created.
As you create this new story for your life it is important to remember you are shifting EVERYTHING, not just a single drama or issue. Because you are shifting into a souls journey, it is important to remember to hold the shift at the place of the sacred and let the old behaviors and beliefs also change. It is important to step in and create what you want.
There is a beautiful story about living in Ayni from the high mountains in Peru. There once was a village in the high Andes many, many miles from any civilization. There had been an extended drought and the villagers knew that if it did not rain soon there would be no potatoes that year, which would mean the babies would die that winter. So they called for a medicine person from the nearest village to come and help. After journeying many days they finally arrived. After noticing what was happening in the village they asked for a hut they could use and sat in ceremony. Within several days the clouds began to build and the heavens became grey, and it rained. When the medicine person came out the villagers were delighted and said “thank you for making it rain”. The medicine person said, “I did not make it rain”. “This village was so out of balance, I became out of balance. I sat in ceremony to come back into balance, and then the village came into balance”.
We each can be this medicine person. Our world is currently out of balance in so many different areas. This is what we each are able to offer to the world in these times of dynamic change and acceleration. When we come into Ayni, into right relationship we allow others to come into balance. When you step in, you hold the space that allows your loved ones, families, and the world to come into Ayni. The key is to step in now.
Wishing you a wonderful equinox full of ceremony,
Linda
