Receiving the rites directly from the Q’ero is an extraordinarily powerful experience. Because they beautifully embody the medicine of the rites, simply being in their presence can be profoundly healing. Wake Wheeler, one of our most senior Four Winds teachers, and someone who is steeped in the Inka traditions, will lead both programs with the Q’ero. During the week, participants will receive all Nine Rites of Munay-Ki initiation in seed form. You will experience Sacred Space, a powerful cocoon of protection held by archetypal energies and luminous beings. Much time is spent in ceremony, where you will learn how to grow and care for all of the rites you receive. You will also learn how to gift the rites to others, so that you can share them with your loved ones and community. Ample practice time is built into the schedule. Throughout the week, you will also have an opportunity to sign up for a healing session with the Q’ero. Often, our elders will offer handwoven mesa cloths and other tapestries for sale. These exquisite pieces are infused with the energies of the sacred mountains that hold our teachers. You will spend much time in laughter and play. The Q’ero take themselves very lightly, but their work very seriously. In short, you will be welcomed to the fire as family. If you can’t make it this month, please plan to come to Colorado, the Shambala Mountain Center, in September. For more specifics on the Nine Rites of Munay Ki initiation, please visit our Munay Ki website. Please visit The Four Winds website or contact Karen Wilson for further details on the class. You may also find more information on the Munay Ki in January’s newsletter which is available on our website. In deep munay, Victoria Johnson
