Dear Kids of the Future,

This year, I am thrilled to invite you to join me and other experienced Four Winds staff on an extraordinary expedition to Peru planned just for kids between the ages of 8 and 16!

While your parents or guardians are enjoying the Via Illuminata journey, or the Holy Mountains of Salkantay or Ausangate, you will spend your days exploring one of the most sacred and beautiful places in the world – the Sacred Valley of Peru. You will travel through the Medicine Wheel teachings, build an altar or mesa, and receive all nine rites of shamanic initiation. You will leave Peru as a full mesa carrier!

Depending on the day, we will hike to sacred sites, spend time in ceremony, or a vision quest, and enjoy martial arts, yoga and creative arts. Don’t worry; you will also have unstructured time to just hang out and visit with one another. Some evenings, we have planned activities such as movies or games, and others will be spent catching up with family or caretakers. We will also camp out for an evening or two. This was one of the highlights of our Kids journey two years ago!
