Hello from the beautiful mountains of Park City! We hope you are looking forward, as we are, to the second session of our Healing the Light Body School, the work of the West. This class will be taught by Jeanette Mantel.

Generally the direction classes are taken in order, but students can take them at different locations. The four directions sessions and three Master’s classes will complete your Healing Light Body class requirements. Submission of cases studies is required for certification.
Location: We will be meeting at the Jonathan Seminarhotel in Chieming-Hart, Germany. Their address is: Jonathan Seminarhotel D-83339 Chieming/Hart. Jonathan Seminare is a wonderful hotel and seminar center in the Chiemsee region of southern Germany. The environment is supportive of health and spiritual growth and is a beautiful place to connect with nature.
Lodging: Enclosed in this packet is a registration form for housing and board with Jonathan Seminare. Please fill it out and fax it directly to Jonathan Seminare or contact them directly using the contact information on the form. Travel instructions are also provided on the form.
Please Note: Even if you choose to stay off site you must register with the venue as a commuter.
Program Registration: Please fill out the enclosed registration form and application; include your €300 deposit. The individual session cost is €1,650 (including the deposit). We have a number of savings options available so please contact us for further details. Because you are making a long-term commitment, your €300 deposit is non-refundable. The program fee does not include accommodations at the venue or meals.

Class begins the first day of the session at 3 pm. Registration begins at 1 pm. The session ends at 1 pm of the last day.
Work of the West: We will be starting the work of the West where we will learn the Shaman’s journey beyond fear and death. We will also work on developing our skills as trackers in learning the extraction process. You will need to bring a crystal for the extraction work. The crystal needs to be large enough to get a good hand hold and be optically clear without inclusions or cracks. A double terminated crystal is preferable. The number of facets or sides is not significant.

Also please bring three stones for your West mesa; one red, one yellow, and one black.
Remember to bring the three written case studies of your illuminations to turn in.
What to Bring: During class sessions we will be working on the floor. Chairs are available for those who need them. Please dress comfortably and bring any seating materials you might need. You might want to bring two sets of clothing appropriate for a ceremonial evening (nice dress, or slacks and shirt). We will be spending a significant time in ceremony. You will be using a pendulum, which can be purchased in many bookstores or new age shops. Bring rattle or drum if you have one.
Come prepared to do evening fire ceremony and outdoor explorations. Plan accordingly to the season and the site location. You may need to bring a coat or jacket, boots, raingear, flashlight, etc.
You will receive the transmissions of the rites of passage of the Laika tradition. It is customary to gift the person giving the transmissions with a small token of your appreciation (you will need two small gifts). Bring a journal for notes. Handouts are minimal. We honor our tradition as an oral tradition.
What’s In a Day: Generally, each day will include morning breathing/meditation, teaching segments, sacred movement and dance (we have found that movement opens us to our energetic capacities), skill sessions, demonstrations, practice sessions and processing time. Evenings find us in ceremony.

Walking with Protection, April 18-23, 2010. Chieming-Hart, Germany
We live in a very interesting world right now, where power is constantly being abused and misused. History is full of generational curses, dark shadows, and abuse of power. It is critical we know how to gracefully and quickly work with clients and friends caught in these places so they can be free to step into who they are becoming. This course is required for Healing the Light Body certification.
